The Histology department of Fort Wayne Medical Laboratory offers a complete surgical pathology service with preparation, processing and reporting on-site in a local facility with pathologists familiar to our medical community for many years. |

7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. |
|
Most specimens will be processed the same day they arrive in the laboratory. Large specimens received after 4:00 p.m. may be processed the next working day to assure adequate fixation. |
|
Most reports are faxed or electronically transmitted within 24 hours of receipt of the specimen. An interface can be setup if electronic medical records are being used by your facility. Clients will be notified of special cases requiring more time and study. |

Full courier service (pickup and delivery) is provided at no cost. |
|
Fort Wayne Medical Laboratory provides supplies (specimen containers and other) as needed. A complete list of supplies is available and will be provided upon request. |

Histology personnel are available to answer any technical questions you may have. Our pathologists are always available to you as well. |
| The Fort Wayne Medical Laboratory is certified by the Health Care Financing Administration Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), and is licensed by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. As these are required standards for the industry, FWML has met the additional requirements for The Joint Commission accreditation. |
